① What are the hazards of ultraviolet radiation on the skin?
The main types of UV rays that affect our skin are UVA and UVB.
UVA is present throughout the year and plays a major role. It can cause skin aging problems such as collagen loss, wrinkles, and pigmentation; Although UVB has weak penetration, it can cause sunburn and erythema on the skin when exposed to direct sunlight.
② Is sunscreen just applying sunscreen?
The World Health Organization once proposed the ABC principle of sun protection
A:Avoid, Avoid direct sunlight exposure.
B:Block, Physical shading, using sunglasses, sun hats, umbrellas, sun protective clothing, and other items to block sunlight.
C:Cream, Sunscreen, applied half an hour before going out, forms a protective film on the surface of the skin that absorbs or reflects ultraviolet rays.
Ultraviolet rays are refractive and invisible, so we need to choose the appropriate level of sunscreen according to different levels of sun exposure. Regarding ultraviolet UVA, let's take a look at the PA value of sunscreen. PA++is required in summer in plain areas and PA+++is required in high-altitude coastal areas.
Regarding the SPF value of UVB, SPF30 can absorb 97% of ultraviolet rays, while SPF50 can absorb 98%, with little difference in effectiveness. However, some sunscreens in sunscreen contain low toxicity, which can cause irritation and allergies to the skin at high concentrations. Therefore, it is not advisable to choose excessively high levels of sunscreen.
③ Can I do medical beauty projects in summer?
Rough and dry skin, pigmentation, and wrinkles are all manifestations of photoaging caused by ultraviolet radiation. Many medical beauty methods can improve photoaging skin.
For example, photon rejuvenation can stimulate collagen production, improve skin quality, and brighten skin tone. Some water light needle products not only hydrate the skin, but also contain antioxidant ingredients such as vitamin C, fullerene, and lipoic acid to combat the damage caused by ultraviolet radiation to the skin.
If you haven't been exposed to direct sunlight recently, you can do some non-invasive or minimally invasive procedures (such as photon rejuvenation, water light needle), and do sun protection normally after surgery. If you have been exposed to direct sunlight recently, you need to wait until your skin condition stabilizes before receiving medical beauty treatment.
