The Department of Thoracic Surgery at Taikang Xianlin Gulou Hospital is a key specialty in Nanjing. Under the leadership of Professor Wang Dong, the department has established multiple sub specialty directions, including pulmonary surgery, esophageal and chest tumor ablation surgery, sympathetic neurosurgery, trauma, and thoracic mediastinal surgery. It can routinely carry out various thoracic surgical techniques required by tertiary hospitals, especially in the diagnosis and differentiation of pulmonary nodules and minimally invasive surgical treatment, single port thoracoscopic thoracic tumor surgery, comprehensive treatment of lung cancer and esophageal cancer surgery, minimally invasive thoracic sympathetic nerve cutting surgery for the treatment of hyperhidrosis of the hands and feet, minimally invasive corrective surgery for pectus excavatum and chicken breast, and cold and hot ablation treatment for chest tumors and malignant pulmonary nodules.
