The Department of General Surgery at Taikang Xianlin Gulou Hospital is a member unit of the 5th and 6th Surgical Branch and Vascular Surgery Committee of Jiangsu Province, a sub center of the Chinese Hernia Disease Specialty Alliance, a collaborative center for laparoscopic technology (China) at the University of Porto, and a training base for GIMMI laparoscopic technology (China) in Germany. After a deep cooperation with Nanjing Gulou Hospital, our department carries out diagnosis and treatment of specialized diseases such as gastrointestinal tumors, thyroid and breast tumors, various hernias/liver and gallbladder diseases, and vascular diseases at an industry-leading level. The department has established clinics for renowned experts in general surgery, gastrointestinal hernia, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and spleen diseases, thyroid and breast diseases, and vascular surgery. It can routinely perform laparoscopic surgery for various benign and malignant diseases and has advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment such as Olympus, Storz high-definition laparoscopic systems, Mammoome minimally invasive breast treatment systems, and microwave treatment systems.
